Well, I posted my first video. If I look tired, that would be because it took over an hour for Blogger to accept my video. Oh, that and it was pretty late when I finished it.
So, if you want to see - check it out at http://www.thejohnexperiment.com. You can scroll down to the one for Thursday, Jan. 22.
I'm debating posting an alternate video that I started on this blog... maybe later.

What's Wrong with the World?
I heard this while watching a video tonight, and found the quote online.
----
Once, The Times of London asked famous authors to write an essay on the subject of 'What's Wrong with the World?'. G. K. Chesterton wrote in the form of a letter:
Dear Sirs,
I am.
Sincerely yours,
G. K. Chesterton.

----
What do you think is wrong with the world? I must agree with Chesterton.

New Project at High Street
You all need to checkout The John Experiment!
Each week, new content will be added and I think you will find it exciting.
http://thejohnexperiment.blogspot.com.
Read a chapter of John each week with your family, and a co-worker, friend or neighbor, then visit the site and tell everyone how it's going.

Reading Throught the Bible
How many of you have ever read through the Bible? Not in one sitting, but maybe in a year?
Well, I read something a while back that challenged me to read through the Bible in one month. So, I calculated that if I read for a little over an hour a day, I could do it.
Unfortunately, reality strikes and I didn't get it done in a month. However, I did finish in two months. It's amazing how one's perspective changes when reading through the Bible that quickly. Stories come alive and events make more sense.
We don't read novels through in just a few pages a day, why read the Bible that way?
So, what about you? Are you up to the challenge? Read it through in a month. Even if it takes you two, you will accomplish something and it WILL benefit you.

Life
So, it's been a while since I posted.
I am posting this, because I believe that we should be careful to protect the lives of the unborn. I was born one year after Roe v. Wade changed the face of life in the United States.
For the last four years there has been a bill sitting in the US Congress that would abolish all laws prohibiting abortion at federal and local levels. (http://hdl.loc.gov/loc.uscongress/legislation.110hr1964, http://hdl.loc.gov/loc.uscongress/legislation.110s1173). Barack Obama has promised to sign the bill into law if it is presented to him.
An organization has been established that is fighting the attempts to pass this law.
I have signed the petition - will you?

Tell Me When This Page Changes
Have you ever wished you could find out when a page changes on the web, and the site doesn't offer you that opportunity?
Well, I just found a web site that offers that service for free: www.changedetection.com.
You just register with your email address, which they confirm and won't use for other stuff. Then, tell them the page you want to watch, and how much change you want to watch for, how often you want to be told about changes, and voila! presto, chango, an email arrives when the page is updated.
For all you webmasters out there, they offer the ability to let people find out when your website changes, too. www.changedetection.com/forwebsites.html.
Enjoy!

Kids & Cars
Well, I can't really blame this on the kids, because I don't know if they did it. And really, it looks like a dark soda, which they don't drink.
But the lesson remains the same. If you want a pristine vehicle, don't ever let your kids bring food or drink in that vehicle. In reality, if you want a pristine car, don't ever let your kids in the vehicle, period.
That said, I share this photo of what can happen to a nice clean minivan.

By the way, the kids are worth every mess and more!
